3 years ago and in a pretty good position this year for Boston vs. 15 seasons ago, and well not looking too good for the next couple for Bama. Hell, at least both of my pre-school aged children were alive the last time Boston won it all. Can't even say that about the Gumps winning the Iron Bowl. Edit: Nevermind, my youngest son was born a week AFTER the '04 World Series, but you get the point.
I think you're onto something! In the past, Boston's chances of winning a WS were slim. In the past, Alabama had a great opportunity to win a NC. It would have been funnier if the person that did this, when changing it from the old Notre Dame one to this Bama one, would have remembered to change the part about the high preseason rankings.
