Save for the close games, we did it with regularity in 2003. Sure, 31 or 27 points (AU and Bama) may not be the eye-catching crooked numbers you see on the crawls. But it's a helluva a lot in the SEC. And with the D we had, we didn't really need anymore (or near that many, realisitically).

People seem very quick to forget how well our offense jived in 2003. The biggest difference between those days and now is that we didn't drop passes, didn't lose fumbles, didn't throw interceptions, and didn't commit 70+ yards in penalties per game. You'd be amazed at how differently that shapes the landscape of an entire offensive unit.

Hold the phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a new OC or at a min a QB coach, SouthLake Carroll HS, Tx, HC, Todd Dodge............now a whopping 61-1 since coming up to 5A in Texas. The school is a scoring machine and his QB's have been POY in 5A for 3 years straight. We must get him before the Whorns...........he is a former Orangeblood QB.

The other Tx resident LSU fans can attest to SL Carroll success.LSU! LSU! LSU!

If you want him you would have to move quick. I will have to think on this a bit, but I heard this past weekend he was being mentioned for some D-1 jobs, HC jobs included. I think I was hearing Rice and SMU, but it is just rumors that I hear.

I want a big shiny brass pair up there in the press box. How much does Pat Hill make as HC at Fresno?? Let's sign him up as OC. I love his attitude.

This is stupid. We've all seen what Miles looks like on the side lines during the game. He is staring at the scoreboard. He isn't calling plays.

This is a rumor that I'm sure will be squashed soon enough.

I read this to mean he will be taking over the playcalling duties in the next game, not that he has already been calling the plays. Can someone clarify this?

Oh, I agree 100% that he hasn't called plays this year at all. Maybe he is bored and really did make the change. Who knows? It will be easy to tell though during the game even if nothing is mentioned about it from LSU.

Salty, I made a similar statement in another topic. The common equation in our offense performance has been Jimbo. Score a few points and let the defense ride it out for you. Initially I thought it was maybe Saban telling Jimbo to play safe and thought with the offense minded Miles he let Jimbo have the reigns. But now I'm thinking that the predictable and mediocre play-calling has been Jimbo.
