Maybe that's it. Maybe he's just getting bored on the sidelines and wants something to do. He doesn't call plays, he doesn't yell at players...to be honest, I really don't know what he does at all.

He needs to light someone up, just once, to make us all happy. If a player (not QB) screws up, he should be chewed out,,,,err, I mean "coached". :hihi:

I hope he has time to review and decide when to call time out, when to spike the ball, and when to try to get the field goal team on the field with time running out in the half.

I'd be shocked if Jimbo stayed even if he and Miles were best buds.

It was purely a marriage of convenience for both men this season, and I'm sure Jimbo has had an eye out (and possibly put feelers out) for other opportunities elsewhere.

Best fit for him, if not as a HC, would be as OC for another major team...one with a defensive-minded coach.

Same goes for Pelini, but he won't leave unless it's to be a HC.

Geez, think people are unhappy w/ Miles now? Wait about 60 days when he's out both an OC and a DC...LOL.

I say Pelini stays. Unless a lot of money is thrown at him for a HC job that has strong potential. He won't go just anywhere. It will only be a reputable team. Many at Nebraska wanted Pelini as the HC before they got Callahan.

Pelini stays another year, he has a good thing going and great talent to make a better name for himself. He still needs another strong year to make up for that shallacking USC put on him in the Orange Bowl.

Sure you do. He stares aimlessly at the scoreboard...or at something.

There has been friction for most of the season. I posted about this previously. Jimbo friends with a friend of mine and there is no doubt that he and Les do not see eye to eye. Jimbo staying was a marriage of convenience that has run its course. Can't comment to what extent Les is calling the plays but he has definitely interjected himself into the playcalling scheme.

Good. I was excited to have an offensive minded head coach. I thought the productivity on offense would go way up. I haven't compared the numbers but, I don't think we improved that much from last year. I'm interested to see what Coach Miles can do if he is calling the shots.

As for OC, Chow would be great. It's not like we can't pay a coordinator $500,000.00. We almost do that now.
