I don't think Nick will leave for Cleveland, but I would not be surprised to see him a better contract and raise from LSU at the end of this season. I think Cleveland will get serious about a new head coach after the end of the regular season which will coinicide with end of bowl season so Nick will get a nice raise and extension and some other goodies.

You mean the East, right. I agree with you though. Hard to see anyone in the SEC going undefeated with these coaches

I will be shocked if Nick gets another raise this soon.

Don't be surprised, with Florida willing to shell out the big bucks, Emmert at Washington may shell out the big money, there's speculation that Lloyd Carr will retire at Michigan, some students at ND are planning a rally for excellence--there are some folks who would love for Tyrone to resign and go back to the pac ten. A man has to maximize his income in coaching. Careers can be so short and whimsical.

You know what job and the only job that worries me about Saban...

    Penn State....

Think about it, closer to where he is from, has everything LSU has, the tradition, the fans, the stadium is bigger then ours, they got the money, big time program, easy to recruit to...

I dont know, I think Saban does not want anything to do with the NFL. But college he loves. Penn State and Va Tech are the only two places I see Saban leaving for.

    but thats just my opinion.

I disagree. I don't think Saban leaves LSU for another college job. If he leaves, it will be for the NFL.

Tressel may be in trouble at Ohio State and there is/was speculation that Lloyd Carr may retire after the rose bowl, but Michigan lately has promoted from within. ND may be a possibility after next season, but I doubt Nick will leave LSU for another college job. He can win titles at LSU just as easily.

Saban got a new contract last year making him the highest paid college coach. Now I'm sure some other college will offer someone more money eventually, and it may have already happened, but no way he gets another raise this year.

I just don't see Saban going to another school. It is true that all the other schools stated above have great history and tradition but why leave when he is making history and becoming a legend at LSU. Going to another school with all that stuff he would just be living in the shadows of some greats before him. At LSU people will have to live up to Nic Sban's legend.

I just don't think there is a better job in colege football right now than at LSU right now.
