A Bama radio show interviewed Smacker Miles during Media Days. She said he definitely wants to coach again.

Chip Kelly & Les Miles Would Laugh if Ole Miss Called, and the ...

.....Freeze carried the program to its first Top 10 finish since the 1960s, but he leaves under a cloud of NCAA suspicion and his firing is tied to “personal misconduct,” the worst of which we probably haven’t heard.

.....I can’t imagine Les Miles would touch a rebuilding job of this magnitude. Chip Kelly can do way better. More realistic options after the season might be Skip Holtz (Louisiana Tech) or Derek Dooley (Cowboys’ WR coach), keep an eye on Rocky Long (San Diego State) and no, I’m not going to mention Lane Kiffin (yet).

No way Chip would bother answering the phone.

Les would take that call, and honestly they could do a lot worse if he were interested. He'd stabilize the program. Their best arc under Les would be to try and emulate Arkansas under Biels.

Shea Patterson going to ride it out in Oxford? Will his brother still have that job?

I'm just a lowly outsider,.. but I think Ol Miss would be lucky to get Les, he would bring the integrity they're desperate for,.. but with the coming tough NCAA sanctions, I don't see Miles having a want to ride those out, not at his age.

Actually I think it is exactly what he would accept. He always was about grooming young men what better opportunity than what is currently unfolding at ol piss

When OM announced the firing of Freeze, didn't they say the guy they named the interim HC would coach the 2017 season?
