I agree and I'm still not seeing all the concern over beating Florida twice- especially since we don't have to play them in the swamp. They have a good offense but won't look so good against our defense and their defense is untested. We take 'em out and show that we are the "Real Deal". People, Troy St. scored 31 points on their defense..........in the swamp. Here's the affect that the Conference Championship Games have had on undedfeated seasons:
It is WAYYY premature to start talking about a National Championship Game opponent. It's still premature to be talking about an SECCG opponent. It is a LONG way to go from here to there, and a lot can happen to knock us out of this thing.
...except of course for the times when undefeated seasons ARE ruined by conference championship games, which apparently happens about 30% of the time an undefeated team plays a conference championship game. 30% is not a majority, but it's not "never" either. Really really good major league hitters only get base hits about 30% of the time.
Why not, you've talked about Miles leaving and the SEC Championship game is before that.......should it happen. :hihi:
Except the whle, you know, it IS thing. 2003 was either the first or second time EVER that LSU had played the same opponent twice in one season and won both. I cannot remember specifically which one it was, but either way it proves that this statement is not entirely correct. Sure other teams have had better luck, but in 100+ years of football, only twice?
Awesome destrehan, we see things the same way, except for that cal nonsense. What LSU fan doesn't want to think about or see LSU at #1 during the regular season? What LSU fan hasn't talked about playing for the MNC? It's mind boggling to see people here who think we shouldn't talk or be concerned about these things. For fans to think ahead doesn't mean a thing. Leave it to the coaches and players to worry about the mental aspects of being focused for the next opponent, that's what CLM is gettin $1.6 mill to do. :geauxtige
did you see cal against tennessee? i don't think it's nonsense brotha. usc is highly overrated and will be exposed by them cornhuskas this weekend.
Yes, they had no defense. Just as they had little D against Colo St. They had to rely on 3 turnovers by Colo's QB and another kickoff return for a late score by Mesean Jackson not to mention a 67 yard run by Jhavid Best. kal is a good team but if they have to rely on the big play to win, they are not a great team. In 2 weeks they have to travel to Autzen Zoo. I think their first loss comes there or in Tempe against the Sun Devils.
