    It's not the Citrus Bowl they're in, it's the playoffs for a National Championship at the other end. Lane wanting to leave would concern me more. Who leaves with a National Championship on the line? Only a real loser. You finish what you started.

    Tillman Fertitta stated that they will write the contract for the next UH head coach differently to keep him there. I'm not sure Kiffin would want to stay at UH very long.

    I'd pad my resume, yes. Unless I missed the part where current obligations would have to be ended to take over as head coach immediately

    I recall reading that Kiffin said with regards to the SECCG and the current playoffs that --- He "would stay as long as they want me." My guess is that if Kiffin goes with Houston, Saban would want him to stay for the playoffs, but if with LSU, then it would be GTFO right now.
