5th year player, walk-on, described as "ultimate team player".
Had sickle cell trait. Usually, people w/sickle trait live a normal life span w/o significant issues, but serious athletes sometimes are affected during strenuous activities complicated by dehydration and muscle breakdown. This is likely what happened to him. Possibly an arrhythmia would be my other guess. Very sad.

Former LSU Player Ryan Clark has the sickle cell trait. RIP Ted Agu.
