New Orleans is under a consent decree with the federal government. The FBI is so embedded in the police and sheriffs departments that it's the feds themselves that determine policy and procedure in every aspect of policing. We can't do anything without federal approval. It's impossible for New Orleans to be or become a sanctuary.
I hear you V ball. I live in a city that is 70% black and has a higher per capita crime rate than LA or anywhere else in California. It's the Black population that commits all the crimes here. They're all violent criminals and pedophiles, gang members and murderers. They need to send them all back to Africa !! I'm glad I could get that off my chest since I can call it anything I want and it's not hate speech or racist in nature. I feel better now. <sarcasm alert>
One of my favorite Cali stories was the illegal that called the police over a failed swap. The illegal was to give a pallet or two of gatorade and about $1200 to another illegal for his young cousin. Yes, the illegal was mad that he did not get the little girl.
BTW, the ICE raid was named Operation Keep Safe. K...S....not by accident as those are the initials of Kate Steinle, the 32-year old who was walking with her dad on Pier 14 when she was shot to death by an illegal who had been deported FIVE times and was using San Francisco to hide based on their Sanctuary laws. The same illegal who just announced that he has been treated unjustly by the US government and is now suing for what he suggests is “vindictive prosecution". It's absolutely mind-boggling how much illegals are getting away with and the people who represent US, the STATE, give them favor.
It's impossible for New Orleans to become anything but a sewer and that is their own fault. They can't get out of their own way.
