The one that played where 31 is now was recruited, and he played well.............why Welter played so much is beyond me.

not to mention the entire game was put on Mettenberger's shoulders. 60 rushing yards ain't gonna cut it, and we probably had all of them in the first quarter.

Two years ago, we thought we had recruited the best linebacker class we had in years. Kwon Alexander is the only one that can play.

And he doesn't impress me yet. We don't have any Mosley's or Depreist unless Beckwith can develope.

I guess I will close out my portion of this thread I started by drawing the conclusion that we have an "old school" defensive coach that can coach future NFL "stars" but based on the fundamental mistakes made all over the field in virtually every game this year AND some VERY SUSPECT talent evaluation, Chavis is a very average coach.

All I'll say is don't let one or two seasons color your opinion fully, not unless you believe he road the coattails of Maleveto. :)

I do believe Chavis has been a great coach in his career but we do need to see improvement for sure. If he has another season like this I've a feeling a change will be made.
