Can LSU beat Georgia? Of course they can! Can Georgia beat LSU, of course they can! This is what championship games are all about.

It is a mistake to assume that the Tiger team that beat Arkansas will be the team that shows up at the SECCG. I think the Tiger team that beat Auburn, Florida, and Alabama will show up.

LSU played on nine straight weekends and were overdue for a flat game and it happened, but we still won the Arkansas game and that is all that matters. We've won our last two SEC championship games and our prospects for wining this one are better than Georgia's.

I agree with you, I have no idea which team showed up Saturday, but no matter what happens Saturday night, I will always be a LSU fan.

You know what though? I was thinking about this and... I have to say...

I think this LSU team plays better on the road.... ??

I think they live and die with the PRESSURE...

When they have no pressure on them, it seems like they arent really trying all that much....

I think LSU and Georgia will be low scoring until the 2nd quarter when LSU wakes up and realizes that they are playing in the SECCG... then the ROUT begins...

This looks like the same thread posted before we played
Florida,Auburn, and Alabama.....Yet LSU won all those games. If is a big word, I tend to have faith LSU will do what is needed to win.

If Georgia plays LSU the way they did against Arkansas,Florida,Georgia Tech,Auburn,S.Carolina, ect.....
    LSU will win.

The IF can work both ways.......:yelwink2:

    Not a real good comparison.

Shockley was out for 3 quarters of the Arkansas game after he sprained his knee.
Joe T came in off the bench cold and played the rest of the game.
Golston and Anderson were out with injuries.

The fact that Georgia and LSU played about the same against Auburn should tell you more.

This game will likely come down to which team drops fewer passes and which field goal kicker is more accurate.

Lsu will win if miles plays to win rather than not to lose. If we make no mistakes and come out play like Lsu is capable of, lsu should win by 10 points.

Like I said before...Shockley will get his numbers but if we keep pressure on him then we will get our rewards. If Jamarcus shakes off the bad game against Ark. we will win. I think this far along he will come out smokin'

I hate to say this, because I know with you it isn't a two way street, but nice post. And to answer the legitimate question that started this thread instead of whining like all you SUPER-FANS, I think we can win and have a good chance to do so.

You might want to know what you are talking about before you say it. I have NEVER said Saban is GOD and everyone else sucks. Hell, when we hired Saban I wanted Butch Davis. When we hired Miles I wanted BD. What Im saying is, to when a NC you can't play not to lose.

I hate Pete Caroll, but does he play not to lose? How About Spurrier? Stoops? And even Saban? The one constant with these coaches, all won NC. Has Miles? Will Miles? Not as long has he coaches this way.

Of course you're happy with that Ang. Don't get me wrong, I know LSU can't win the NC every year. Especially playing in the SEC. But LSU SHOULD contend for it every year. And you can't if you play not to lose. Hell, if LSU goes 9-2 or 10-1 by playing balls -to-the-walls football, and gets beaten by the better team that day, then that's fine. Im happy with that too. But if we play not to lose and give the game away(UT) then that's not acceptable. Even you have to agree with that.

The reason a lot of us on this forum don't like Miles, is because he has coached this way his entire career. But if he realizes that he can't do it in the SEC and changes his philosophy, I will be the first to sing his praises.
