Can someone tell me what Les Miles offense is like? I am honestly asking as well. I have yet to hear specifically what he does that kind of makes his offense whatever it is....
Re: Can someone tell me what Les Miles offense is like? His offense seems to be quite centered around the run (which, IMO, I like). His offenses have been VERY effective running the ball and he's developed some fine RB's in his tenure in Stillwater (Tatum Bell and Verand Morencey--who's surely to be one of the first few RB's taken this coming draft). He definately uses the run to set up the pass. He likes to get his running game going and open up the pass via play action. 2 seasons ago, when he had Tatum Bell and Rashaun Woods, 2 very high-profile players at their respective positions, they flurished. And they did so with, IMO, an above average QB--nothing too fancy, but one who was smart with the ball. We have a similar situation here, with talented RB's such as Broussard, Addai and Vincent and a stable of potential All-SEC WR's but I feel we're a lot better as an offense because we have a GREAT OL (OSU's was marginal at best). His offensive schemes suit us very well. We DEFINATELY have the talent to really put up some points. This past season, he still put up some good numbers dispite having to start a QB that was originally a 3rd-teamer last spring (his starter went play pro baseball and the #2 guy was injured if I'm not mistaken).
Re: Can someone tell me what Les Miles offense is like? That's right. He was actually going to go with more of a passing offense, until the issues at QB arose. As I recall, the kid got hurt RIGHT before the season and he essentially redid their scheme for the year. I've heard that he really just coaches to the strengths of his players, not the other way around. That's a big plus in my opinion.
Re: Can someone tell me what Les Miles offense is like? That above average qb was josh fields....they missed him last year very badly.
