    nola.com reporting that some 3-star WR from Evangel has withdrawn his commitment from LaTech, citing "political reasons" in his tweet. When asked to explain, he specified the uncertainty about state funding for state colleges.

    So now there is evidence that this could hurt recruiting but none to back up the theory that message boards do.

    LSU can fund its full-ride athletic scholarships, but none of the other schools can. They all get state tax money. It is going to be difficult for some of these small schools trying to play division I football when their budget gets slashed gain next year. Hard to give scholarships to athletes when you're laying off professors and closing graduate programs.

    Not to mention colleges now a days are turning into social experiments of their own. I cant tell you how many leftist hack profs I had to deal with just to get through my BS pre-recs.

    Therein lies the rub. Higher education is a sanctuary for those that cannot do. Those that spout pony up never ask the question about where the money is going only where it needs to come from.

    Question : Should a student go to college after HS or should he or she learn a trade ?? I know 5 men who make more $$$$$ than the prof at Vandy make by 1,00,000 buck each year . That is one man a truck and blower and a zero turn mower and a weed eater

    That's the problem with TOPS; we underfund elementary education and then hope the undereducated can make up for it in college.
