1. Carr is looking for a new job. I think Saban should hire Carr as his PR guy to handle all questions from the press. Poems might be better then War analogies. :dis:
  2. Makes sense to me. Since they are not really playing for anything else the rest of the season it seems like the ideal time for the coach to retire. It's not on them to time the retirement when the timing would be best for LSU. They of course are going to do what is best for Michigan and getting an early start on the coachs search of course makes sense. I don't understand why people on here are questioning the timing of this.
  3. I can relate
    To whats relative to
    My relative are
    What they are
    I will not coach Alabama
    Buy me a pajama
    Relative to the season
    I don't have a reason
    Hall got a pass
    His feet saw the grass
    Wasn't enough
    Our team wasn't tough
    Now you're all mad
    I like to eat shad
    Its a relative thing
    Les Miles gets to sing
    Money I got
    Patience, not
    I'm better than you
    Its true
    Time to move on
    Please mow my lawn
  4. The writing has been on the wall for Carr for months. I thought it was pretty clear when he signed the new contract which included a bonus for work within the Athletic Department. I suspect he'll be in a position much like Joe Kines has in Tuscaloosa.
  5. Actually makes sense if you believe (as I do) in the following:

    1. Carr retires ASAP after last regular season game to get the job out there. Very important in a year when other major programs will have openings.
    2. Martin specifies that *he* will not contact a coach w/ games remaining, and that he'd contact an AD before he did (good form on his part)
    3. There is plenty of time for *coaches* or *their agents* to contact Martin. Once this happens, all "ethical" concerns will undoubtedly be brushed aside for the right candidates.
