Damn, Now I wonder what I'm gonna do on New year's Day. I was going to drive down to Orlando but maybe I'll just try and give my tickets away, since we have no chance, because the DB's are gonna suck, Green's going to commit turnovers and we won't be able to stop there passing game.

Wait. So people make a little fun of some Iowa guy for being a homer (which he isn't), and then get sarcastic with me for not being a homer. Sorry, but I don't spend time on TF just to make you feel good. Just debate the points. Was anything I wrote unrealistic?

Stats can be funny. Although we do have a very good defense, it's more of a contain defense to make the other team have to work their way down the field.... we seldom give up anything deep. We do give up a lot of short stuff. You can complete a lot of out patterns. Throwing across the middle can be harzardous to your health.
Minnesota ran all over us, as did Michigan State. Half the rushing yards we gave up all year were to those two teams.... so saying we can't be run on is only semi-true. What is true is we are very hard to run on when you get inside our 40.
My guess is we'll try to see if you can patiently go 60/70 yards without turning it over.

The LSU defense will be the best we've seen... and you've played against good defenses in Alabama and Auburn. We've faced Wisconsin who finished 8th in total D and Penn State, who finished 11th. (Given Penn State's record and absolutely horrible offense, it's amazing their D finished with such good numbers... as they were constantly on the field)
Michigan's D ranked out about the same as Auburn. So, we've seen people in our backfield most of the year, even Ohio State played pretty good D.
You'll be intimidating, the question is will Tate be intimidated. So far, he's held up quite well. He's got a lot of "moxie" about him.

With your talented team, you may have been back in the big game if you had Tate at the controls. He is a special player.

No way that the #103 offense in the country scores 19 points on the LSU defense. The writer gives Iowa about 10 points that they aren't going earn. The stout Iowa defense will probably hold LSU under 21 points, but Iowa won't make double-digits.

    LSU 17
    Iowa 9

Well, you'll get to see the speed that kills

Barber ain't **** ... he couldn't make third string at LSU ... the LSU running game will stomp a mudhole in your corn-fed azzes ... and those backs of ours don't stop running at your 20-yard line. And out OL will flat out run and pancake your secondary ... Speed Kills Radar O'Reilly ... call the coroner now

They match up favorably with LSU ... just imagine an old record ... Wiskynson & Penn State playing at 45 speed ... LSU at 78 ... Speed Kills Radar O'Reilly ... call the coroner now

Tate, Tate, Tate ... there goes that broken cornpone record again ... He'll wear his azz for a hat ... and he won't have time to do anything but run for his life ... and try to throw 50 passes ... that'll be a hard number to reach going 3 and out and getting picked 2 or 3 times

... Then, he'll only be on the field for 20 minutes ... Like you said there in your sorry post, cornpone ... LSU will be running the ball down your throats during those 60 yard drives ... the ones you pray come up short

My prediction for Iowa ... PAIN

we do struggle with good Passing QB's but thats when they have a running game as well, Iowa has absolutely no Running game, it'll be a miracle if iowa gets 50+ yards rushing. someone on our team may make a bonehead play but there's the same chance that someone on iowa will make a bonehead play, i'd take LSU 24-17

I didn't make any fun of the Iowa guy for being a homer, but your post is way too pessimistic for me. Will we do anything right n the game? Will Boussard, Addai, Davis, Spears, Williams, Webster, Daniels, Landry, Randall, Turner, Jones, Oliver, Highsmith, Kuale or any other Tigah have any impact at all?
