1. The biggest difference I see is that Oeaux is willing to change, learn, and take criticism. Miles and many others think they are right, even after taking an ass beating.

    Oeaux has had some bad losses, but seems to come out the other end stronger.

    I think AD's should recognize these kinds of qualities as well as his ability to connect with the players. I think Miles too connected with the players. They loved him. He was much different than Oeaux, but both styles can connect with players. Oeaux now has the upper hand on his willingness to adapt to the landscape. LSU football is going to be real fun for the foreseeable future.

  5. This is a great point. In most organizations, the inability to acknowledge one's mistakes, accept criticism or be willing to change are considered major character flaws, even to the point of disqualification for a position. Yet coaches overwhelmingly seem to display these flaws.
