Joe's son may end up playing Jeopardy one day and thats about it: "Yes Alex, I'll take coaches who waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overstayed their welcome for $500 "
I could care less about SC. However, I feel sorry for the young atheletes there. They get burned for something they had nothing to do with. If they had known this, they might have chosen a different school. That would be like the NCAA finding out that Saban had pulled some sort of underhanded mess. Now he is gone. The NCAA comes down on LM and this years LSU players. No matter how clean the program is now or that today's players are innocent, LSU draws the fines. That would suck imho.
The NCAA investigation of SC has been going on since 2002 so Mother Superior had to have known about it. Of the 10 violations cited Holtz was connected only to one of the minor ones. A lack if institutional control has been cited and their AD has left. Surely the plyers who have signed in the last two years knew about the investigation (other coaches would tell them) so no need to feel sorry for them. At this time SC has self imposed the loss of two schollies but the real ax by the NCAA is yet to come.
