Carter still has to make his ACT score. He could be going the Justin Vincent route if he doesn't get past his current 15 score. He wouldn't play or practice next fall but would enroll next January for Spring 2005 and count against next year's class. Tim Washington is doing that this year.
Carter is qualified to play as a freshman Carter has no grade or test issues that impede him from being eligible to play as a freshman. The following is an excerpt from the Shreveport fishwrap: "Carter, who has passed the FCAT and has the necessary SAT score and core subject GPA to play as a college freshman, will make it official on Feb. 4, national signing day." There are several players committed to LSU who have potential eligibility issues, but Carter is not one of them.
