Raising a ruckus in a bar parking lot can get you arrested anywhere. Beatings and shootings happen in such places, it's the reason that police patrol them. The cops were doing their jobs by stopping this. Now, it's another thing to say if they should have been charged with anything, but we don't know how much lip the cops got or any of the circumstances, really. But Castille still brought bad press to the team and Nick cannot be pleased. This business may be: A. No big deal B. An old-fashioned hometown whitewash or probably, C. Both
No. But the police were actually there and they saw something that seemed like creating a disturbance, apparently.
He wasn't drinking..........see how so many things are assumed? :thumb: What if I told you it was a white cop, black kid? Nmm.....
I have heard that there was no drinking involved, but it was almost certainly more than simply trying to hail a ride. One post on a Bama board this morning said: "I was told by a member of the University Police yesterday that Simeon had been asked "to get out of the street and away from the car since he was holding up traffic". He did not comply and continued in a "combative, loud discussion with the stopped car" which was holding up the traffic. Should he have been arrested -probably not. But for whatever reason he choose not to comply with the police officer's request." It was also noted that the nightclub strip where the incident happened has had two shootings recently, explaining why the police take their job seriously there. Castille probably didn't commit any serious crime, but public misbehavior has to be a violation of Nick's team rules.
May not have meant it that way but surely did........unless there is some other antecedent for "They" to whom you were referring cause to say "Other possible charge" means it was an option. Then you elaborate on how "Helpful" the police were in saving him.
Well, first of all, we're talking about Castille's arrest and the possible plausible mitigating circumstances surrounding the incident........not his "Ride". Secondly, if there's ANY State that a person can be arrested for DUI cause they are riding in a car that's being driven by a driver under the influence, please, do tell- that could be very useful in "Saving" some of our members. BTW.......wouldn't the charge then be RUI (Riding under influence)?:hihi:
Since when this board become a Tidenation board.... I thought this was an LSU forums... my bad... *sneaks out quietly*
It's not specifically LSU, but general SEC topics are allowed in The Tigers Den. LSU has also had overblown press about players regarding minor issues with the law.
red, you forgot to mention that it's also funded through volunteer contributions of only $20.00.
