ARTICLE: Strip may be wrong place for Tide players http://www.al.com/sports/birminghamnews/kscarbinsky.ssf?/base/sports/118762150931280.xml&coll=2 A good read that was posted late today about the whole situation. Scarbinsky makes some good points for all college players who go out and party on the weekends.
Facts Starting to Surface on Bama Castille Arrest http://www.al.com/sports/press-register/index.ssf?/base/sports/118768813691150.xml&coll=3 This is starting to sound all to familiar. Sounds like it could be the college football arrest story of the year. Fanatical fan base, new highest paid coach ever in college football, all SEC star defensive player, parents now involved making statements against the police, family of Castille has hired a legal team, policeman bully, police dept protecting its turf. This drama will unfold August 27th just days before Bama's first game. Is this considered the type of distraction Saban dislikes most? Sounds to me like a war is brewing behind the scenes in T Town between the Police Department and the UA Athletic department. I get the impression Castille's family is going to fight this until their sons record is cleared. Man, this has been a hot summer. Football needs to start. Stay tuned...
The drama won't "unfold." He didn't do anything. I was actually there last all day yesterday and no one even cared, because they knew nothing happened. Just a misunderstanding. Deaderick, the DT arrested earlier in the year is a different story.
Pure stupidity on BD's part...there's a reason they don't let people into bars until they reach a certain age...and, he chose to try to get past that.
