there's no argument needed. that wasn't a typo, its a common misspelled word but it was a joke.

The fact that you actually think an argument is warranted is laughable at best. USL is not even a pimple on LSU's ass. get over it.

Students, fans, many alumni really dont care about those schools, but the powers-that-be at LSU are, and that is the point i am making.

To think the LUS is superior to the Board of Supervisors is incredible. LSU is the flagship school with premier programs (this means better than) to other state universities. A degree from LSU carries more credibilty than one from the LU System because LSU has better instructors, a higher caliber of student, and actually does research in some fields, just to name a few of the pluses. LSU just left a state education program because it was not up to national levels. LSU will not accept all transfer course work toward a secondary education P.E. degree because the initial course work is suspect. An LSU degree must meet LSU standards, not a poser of three years at Nicholls with the last 30 hours from Baton Rouge.

I apologize in advance to everyone offended by this: Anyone can cheer for LSU, not everyone can graduate from LSU (here's where the snob rub comes from). UL-Lafayette is a fine school ( better say that, my wife graduated from Useless L), but it is not on par with LSU in any area save the party school reputation.

I'm sorry I barely read after your first post because your argument is a joke. forgive me for barely skimming afterwards. Do you really want someone to counter this to validate your delusions about USL? I don't. There is no comparison at all. End of thread. thanks.

Actually, just off the top of my head, i can tell you that ULL has better accredidation in Architecture and Education than LSU.. actually, LSU's EDU department is in danger of losing theirs.

And let me just say this.. i defend ULL because i've been there and know more about that school than people at LSU assume to know. I have also been accepted in grad school at LSU, so apparently they thing that ULL's degrees are worth something. So i am a tiger, i have always been a tiger, i just did my undergrad at ULL because i wanted to get out of Baton Rouge for a while. Thats all im gonna say on this subject, so i wont be opening this thread again.

LSU's elementary education program isn't very good. Both ULL & SLU have better programs for elementary education. I'm sure other degrees have similar things...

However, as a University - LSU is head & shoulders above these other institutions.

Ok.. ill post again.. agreed that LSU is above the other schols overall, but if you look at the individual programs and compare them to the other schools in the state, most are better at one school or another.

Accreditation is done national by the same boards. Nice try, though.

And since you won't be back, fun facts:

It's been 80 years since SLI/USL/ULL has scored on LSU in football. EIGHTY YEARS!

LSU has a 4-year graduation rate of 56%, ULL 29% (but if you listen to Dr. A, it should be closer to 75% because it really takes 10 years to finish there)

I'll throw in LSU's Computer Science program. It isn't even accredited by a reputable organization. LSU has certain strengths in certain fields and overall it is stronger then any other public LA school to echo other people's sentiments.
