When Weiss starts concentrating on us like he does cheeseburgers then i'll worry. Anybody with game tape and a roster can figure out what he told the media.

I completely agree. The big intangible is the mental aspects of the game. The way I see it, to be deserving of a win, they need to prepare and play like champions, NO MATTER who you play.

    1. Good thing this game is not decided by a coin toss. If law of averages had anything to do with it Tulane might not suck.

    2. ND has heard so much about how much better LSU is because, well, LSU is that much better. I completely expect LSU to dominate. I'm not a player - the only overconfidence I have to worry about is thinking I can still handle a case of beer when really a 12 pack will more than do the job.

    LSU wins 38-14.:geauxtige

im glad michelin man watched every play of every LSU game this season. doesnt do much good when your top wrs and dbs are white. no offense to you honkeys, mind you.

hope you learned your lesson: coaches alone dont make great teams but often players do in the short run. Fatboy wont be able to recruit half the athletes LSU does. athletes are mostly stupid and ND has requirements we dont. when i say we, i dont mean you. I mean LSU and its fans.

with that, how about st nick "turning the tide" today. I think I like Les even more now. dude has integrity and his teams play loose. much looser than they ever did under saban. thats a fact and anyone who follows the program can see it.

there are tradeoffs between communist style coaching and socialists. The last few LSU bowls have proven its best to play relaxed and not in fear. I gotta give that to lester and i was a doubter but once again, there are tradeoffs we dont initially value when judging coaches and ive come to learn this. Les has earned respect without belittling the men who are under his watch. that was on display tonight if you paid attention. thats worth something to me.

Les has proven to be everything so far nick saban isn't; a man of integrity, family values and a true leader of men. A man of respectability. If he flops as a coach you wont be able to take that away from him. Am I pontificating because of the recent fallout? you betcha but its noteworthy and more important than a game of football.

snake oil salesmen are a dime a dozen; men of their word are few and far between. I'll take the latter everyday of the week and twice on sundays....before they quit their nfl job.

great points. i often wonder if a screaming maniac coach is more effective, because you have to hammer people to get things done. i think i am leaning more towards the les miles/ willie randolph style than the john brady/nick saban/bob knight style. you dont always have to be a crazed egomaniac who punishes every kid who makes a mistake. you can definitely get results either way, but i really prefer the style of the coach who can get things done without being a complete psychopath.

also i admit i think it is endearing that miles is so awkward with a camera on him, he just wants to say the required coachspeak and get the hell out of there. seems like a geniune guy, that miles.

miles has this train rolling. we have to admit that. weis is the genius yet miles scheme in the 2nd half made him look bush. one first down? You and I could do that with sabanfan and red blocking.

isnt this b2b 11 win seasons? we end up #2 or 3. how sweet is that.

also, keep brady out of this. hes the pinnacle of all coaching.

lol @ chris mortenson/WH buying the koolaid "nick saban had to follow his heart".

dude was billed the NFL protege for years til he failed. Now he's somehow sold himself as the college guy. this is manipulation of the media at its best. I love it. puppet master at work.

im buying tickets to the bama game as we speak.
