Re: CFN Keys to ASU-LSU game

Arizona will expect LSU to pound away at them early on and throw the high percentage passes, THAT IS A CERTAINTY. They will also stack the line to stop LSU, THAT IS ANOTHER CERTAINTY. LSU can bust ASU's defense early for 6 points with a deep route or a deep crossing pattern. I am certain Jimbo knows this. If LSU really is taking the wraps off the passing game, we can expect several long passes early in the game targeting ASU's weakness & LSU's offensive strength in their WR corps. ASU had 1 sack against Temple and has injury all over a smallish defensive line to deal with in this game. LSU will run on this team & have time to pass. I expect audibles to punish ASU's decision to stack the line and key on LSU's rushing attack and short passes. The pundits & oddsmakers are not giving the LSU defense or J. Russell any credit. That's great news for LSU!

What AzSt did to us is somewhat like what Georgia did to you... some games just "ain't meant to be"... I know I've been drinking a lot more since that game!:dis:

No it isn't. We beat UGA twice in '03 and they had the '04 LSU game circled on the calendar since the spring. LSU was going to lose that game... everyone knew that. At least I did.

This same ASU team got beat by Arizona at year's end & got by Purdue in a close bowl game. Purdue didn't have LSU's defense. And Arizona was pathetic, if I remember correctly.

Temple got to him for two interceptions. That's Temple. Now, first game jitters aside, this guy Keller is little more than a rookie still making rookie mistakes, although we acknowledge his great game against Purdon't. How he acts against the top ranked defenses is what matters. I believe he won't be able to handle the pressure without creating a number of turnovers or being ineffective.

LSU holds onto the ball in this game and they win, pure and simple.

And your scenario is somehow different from the Hawkeyes completely shutting down # 16 Arizona State in 2003... 21-2... and destroying Andrew Walter, their all everything QB... and knowing ASU was laying in wait for us in the desert in 2004. What... your the only school that has "payback" games? :dis: :dis: :dis: If you were one of the Seven Dwarfs, you'd be Dopey.
But I'm rooting for you to take out ASU... so you can be Happy!!!:hihi:

Thanks, Hawker for rooting for LSU! This is different with ASU. It's the first meeting EVER between the two schools. So, relax and go back to bed, SLEEPY! Your wish for an LSU win is in the bag.
