I agree. I do hope Auburn beats Bama...because they will fire Saban if he can't beat them consistently, and he couldn't do it here with far more talent.

Please excuse my rudeness, btw, and welcome to the forum. :thumb:

I irritate a lot of people here too and we let each other have it pretty good in here, as a group- respectfully though, at least on the surface lol- which is part of the fun. Some of the people I enjoy the most are the one's I know I can rattle. :hihi:

Cadillac...you've been around for a long time and have had many "meaningful" posts in the past. This isn't one of them.

Many Auburn fans sound like my kids when they are caught doing something wrong. Instead of admitting their error, they start to say that everyone else did it too. Now I expect to hear that from little kids but when I hear it from adults, it's just sad.

The play wasn't even close and can't be written off as a mistake. It was intentional, dirty, cheap, etc. and the kid/young man/whatever is a loser and needs to learn a lesson on why it's wrong because he's either too stupid to understand or doesn't value sportmanship at all. Either way, he needs to sit out a game.

There's no use in discussing Tubby because everyone (including AU fans) realize he's a jackass!

I can understand why AU fans are getting defensive. Between the leverage call, the no call interference, the dirty play, cigar smoking, stomping on the logo, etc. most of the negativity has surrounded Auburn. You have to go back six games to find a non-controversial quality win by Auburn.

Oh man you weren't rude. I know I was getting a little radical. I look forward to many fun times in here...and I am one that rattles easy...but I rattle back.:hihi: I like your avatar too...they used to call me Doc Holiday in the bar scenes of south Louisiana. Take it easy.

that's a little strong and undeserved. he is a rival poster that has proven over time to be a good contributor to the discussion at hand. imo this time he's dead wrong. i'm sure he's thought the same of me. quit bitchin and move on.

Why are you directing this post to me? I haven't posted any opinion about anything in this whole thread because the game is over, LSU won, and it's all a moot point. But since I am now responding to your post let me add a couple of comments:

--in the YouTube video you link, yes we got away with one. It was clearly pass interference on David Irons and should have been called. Has LSU never been guilty and got away with it? Of course not so what is your point? As I said in another thread yesterday I wish we could have a game free of officiating controversy. Unfortunately, it's not just our games, the officiating in the SEC this year has been terrible. The conference should be embarrased.

--on the question of the penalty concerning how many were on the line of scrimmage, it doesn't matter how many there really were. The refs threw a flag and didn't take it back until AFTER the review of the play. As pointed out in other posts, how many were on the line is not reviewable so what was the ref's basis for the change AFTER the review? Looks like LSU got away with one.

--on the chop block thing. I regret very much this happened and am happy Dorsey seems to be OK. But I don't see how anybody except the Auburn guy knows for sure it was done with malice. Obviously it was intentional because he did it, but does that mean he meant harm? I seriously doubt it.

--some posters say our guy should be punished. What abvout the LSU player who intentionally went after Cox's knees in last year's game and left him in pain and hobbling the rest of the season, was he disciplined? He was flagged for a personal foul. Our guy on Dorsey didn't get a flag with the ref looking right at it. My only point....don't throw rocks in glass houses.

--someone said Tubs is a piece of trash. I would only ask how he, or most of you would know. I know why you think so....because of a few incidents you took personally. I know Tubs well. He is a great guy and I would like to have a son play for him. I wouldn't swap him for any other coach I know of.
some of you will recal that i talked to Tubs a couple of years back and asked him to make every effort to stop the silly incidents that were causing a lot of friction. I don't recall any since then.

My comments are just my opinions. Most of you know I very rarely post anything even bordering on smack/trash talk.

It is just curious to me that he didnt mention the past few games where Auburn benefited from the horrible officiating in the SEC.

The bottom line in all of this is the SEC officials either are betting on the outcome of these games or our conference has been raiding the alcoholic anonymous meetings filling in our officials crews.

It is such a shame we cant just let the best team win on the field.

We have inept officials effecting the outcome of these games.

I will trade you last years game for this years because it would have put us in the SEC champ game and given us a chance to be florida going up against Oh St.

It is time for Slive to step up and do something about SEC officiating.
