Was this documented in any interviews / online articles? I speculated that the punter made the call but my brother believed it was Miles.
Lucky for us, we'd NEVER do that against Tennessee, thus saving us all from the horror of Fulmer with his pants down. :hihi:
And no doubt it was an pass/punt option read that the coaches trained the team to do. You did notice the regular punter wasn't in there didn't you?
Funny that all the media is praising Miles for his balls for making that call, and yet somehow they're all wrong and you're right. Say what you want, but I seriously doubt Russell, Jackson or any other player involved had any say in that play. If it wasn't from the coach, then whether or not it worked could've cost them their job. Russell wouldn't risk his starting job on that. No way. It was Miles' call.
Good point. Jackson was in there and that's the only time he was in to punt. That by itself says that Miles had the call.
No I think they learned it from one of the Madden video games. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: I believe Miles said the two will share punting duties this year so how do you decide which one is called the regular punter? In the game not counting the fake Chris Jackson punted twice and Patrick Fisher punted twice according to the official LSU stats.
Wrong again.....Jackson punted twice as did Fisher not counting the fake, get your facts straight. The media also claims that USC is the national champions of 2003. Do you need the media to think for you or do you have a brain of your own
watch the replay... prude signals and then jackson shakes his head. Then procedes to not punt again the entire game.
Dude you're just mad at me for making you look like an idiot by pointing out the ignorance of your statement in another thread that ASU's QB is only average. :hihi: And I'm so incredibly sorry that I didn't have the game stats in front of me, but I still hold that there is no way Russell made that call without Miles' approval. Get a grip, and grow up.
I heard the fake was called by jackson and not the staff. i heard it on the charlie barberie (sp?) show as well as from jordy hultberg (god, i hate him).
