Saban had Jordy announce to the team over the microphone last night at the Awards Banquet that there would be a team meeting today. I highly doubt that Saban would be doing that in front of all these big time alumni and donors if the intentions of the meeting was to tell them he might be off to Cleveland. You act like they don't ever have any team meetings guys...they are probably just going to go over some bowl stuff, schedules and all that because they wont get much time to this week due to finals. Settle down guys.
The team meeting was not to discuss this rumor. It was to discuss an attitude adjustment needed to prepare for the Cap One Bowl. CFN is just trying to make some news instead of reporting it. Relax. We have nothing to worry about.
Damn straight! Saban knows how well the 2005 is lined up for LSU and he also knows that a CapBowl win over a likely preseason top 10-15 Iowa team would be an excellent way to finish top ten this season and get ranked in the top two next preseason. If you don't think snagging a top two preseason ranking is important, ask Auburn.

I realize that. He also has family on the east coast. Maybe the Cleveland area is a good place to be FROM.
i agree this story is unsettling for some reason, but the part that makes me feel better is "several unconfirmed sources". until someone confirms it, or Saban says it himself, I will stand pat. however, with Saban's strong ties to northeast Ohio this is a situation not to take lightly IMO.
i never believed one rumor and easily scoff at all of them yet why is my stomach all knotty this time? please let it be eating too many peanuts.
