Not really a surprise, is being mocked pretty high 1-3 rounds. Will be a combine freak, kind of like LaRon. Hits hard, but his coverage skills are lacking a bit.

 

a conversation i had with a friend after one of the games. cant remember which game, but he got a penalty for what appeared to be just a good hard hit. (other guys helmet went flying.) we had discussed that some had been critical of cj for not hitting harder all year when every one knew he could and wondered if that was the reason? being afraid of getting a penalty for doing so?

im gonna miss seeing the dreadlocks of doom on the baseball field, but if this is cj's goal and dream, i wish him luck and hope to see him sending helmets flying on sundays.:thumb:

 

yeah, i hate that. i saw that a lot with CJ this season. he was holding back, but he let is all loose in the bowl game. so maybe that is telling..

 

Ya, he drew penalties in the bowl game for his hits.

 

Bad mistake on his part. He will not go in the first round this year, but maybe next year he might.

 

Why would he have to pay? Doesn't his current scholarship cover him for the whole year?

 

I dont understand kids leaving early unless youre guaranteed a top spot. Jones could improve to a sure fire first rounder. I dont at all see him going in the first this year. He will awe everyone at the combine. He is a physical freak but his play never matched his potential. His tackling is very poor at times, as well as his cover skills. Jones will make the highlight hit though which will overshadow a lot of his shortcomings. I wish him the best though. He has scary potential if he puts him mind to it.
