    Using your logic, you think LSU was wrong for firing McClendon, Archer, Hallman and DiNardo ... they all had contracts when they were fired. You really want LSU to honor all its contracts and never fire a coach?

    Contracts are meant to be broken, that's why they have buyout clauses. In Saban's case, he has a pretty smart agent who negotiated a no buyout for Saban to walk.

    Do you not think Saban has earned every penny of his contract? In fact, he has done more financially for the athletic dept, the University, and Baton Rouge the last 4 years than any other person I can think of.

    Sounds like we have a bunch of jilted fans around here....

    We (LSU) seem to be a little to open on contracts. We let teams off the hook with schedule for pennies and should have insisted on a buyout in Sabans contract. If it were say 1 million do you think that would have slowed Mr Blockbuster down. We did back out on the coaches you listed but not without a buyout.

    Contracts mean nothing in today's sports climate. That is just reality.
