This is stupid. Alley is still not close to being back to 2004 form. He has a bad attitude too. And Miles doesnt like him. I would put Alley behind Williams, Scott, Murphy, and Hester on the depth chart.

Alley had 3.8 YPC. Keiland had 5.7 YPC. If Keiland had played more against Auburn than Alley we would have won that game.

Now dont get me wrong, if AB works hard and loses weight and is capable of being our #1 back, let him be it. But he hasnt done that, and obviously has a bad attitude. Injuries can do taht to a guy. Oh, and he has a child so he might have more important things to worry about.

It doesn't say how many carries each back received. I suspect that Williams and Hester have already shown the coaches what they can do on the field and the other backs got more carries.

A running back has to do more than run the ball. He has to go out for passes and he has has to protect the quarterback from the blitz. Hester has proven that he can do all three. Williams still has to learn to read the blitz and be a blocker.

Sorry, but what I saw of KW during the latter part of last season I think he will be our top running back. We will see.

I really don't see why you keep pumping up Richard Murphy and putting down Keiland Williams. KW proved in ACTUAL GAMES that he can carry the load. He stepped up big when we needed him most. This is a spring scrimmage... It doesn't even compare to an actual game in the fall during the season, or a bowl game.

Look, I hope Richard Murphy is great and Broussard and Scott are great too, but there's no question that KW is our top tailback at this point.

    TheDude I'm calmer than you.

Gotta agree on that one. KW was one of the biggest talents in the country last year as a recruit, and when he finally integrated in to the games, we saw it first hand. I think Scott & Murphy are first rate, but they just have not shown it like KW did, and by their own admission have been behind KW in the rotation. We all know what AB can do but, he didn't show it last year. Unless KW has just fallen off tremendously(without any indication from his coaches), it should be safe to say that he leading the rotation right now. Plenty of time for the other backs to tighten up the race in the fall. Regardless, we should be well set at RB.

I realize that for the most part, all we (the fans) have to go by is what we see in games, but the coaches know these players & their abilities a lot better than us because they see them everyday in practice. I don't know why some of you are discounting practice so much, as if that is not where starting line-ups are decided. If Murphy or whoever shows that they are the best back in practice this Spring/Fall, it won't matter what Keiland did last year in games.

KW will be the starting back.

Hopefully we'll see the spread alot so KW and RM can be on the field at the same time.
