1. You surprised at the this point?
  2. It does if you have a low injury rate

  3. Charlie Strong is a better HC than he is given credit for. He walked into a program in disarray after Mack. Plus many boosters never wanted him. That said he has slowly improved the team each of his three seasons. It's just not enough for Texas.

I do not at all want him here at LSU, just saying I feel he is better than his record.
  4. None of that should stop him from being able to build a team. If you can't get it done at Texas, where is the job going to be easier? His record reflects his coaching, he ain't ready for the big time, come back later.

  5. Right, more money and the most in state talent. Sorry Charlie, don't want ya here.

  6. Say wha? If we are taking Texas rejects, go for Mack Brown. Geez!
  7. Seems people forget the rep he had at Florida and the job he did at Louisville that led to the Texas job. That situation was pretty jacked up there. He'd be foolish to take this job even if offered. Don't blame you guys for not wanting him because it's the "what have you done for me lately" society.

  8. I know Cholly (sorry, couldn't help myself) can coach football. Just seems he made some very bad hires at the coordinator slot and at this point, you have to wonder about a few position coaches as well. Hard to survive that. I have watched a couple of Texas games and the lack of fundamental tackling skill was shocking, given his area of expertise. It wasn't just that his defense was often out of position and out schemed, but when they got there they look like a peewee team trying to wrap up and make a form tackle. Sorry Cholly, you scare me.
  9. Not happening...more to do with his agent starting the hype train for a new job.
  10. :DIf Strong were hired ISL would really blow a fuse. He is a defensive minded coach with a poor HC resume. Two strikes!
