I can lose a game like that with D because they MADE adjustmetns in the 2nd half. The effort was not 100% and it was still not an LSU standard, but it was only 2 good drives that ND had vs the 4-5 drives they had in the 1st half. And the O did not score in the 4th.....again.

I think Chavis became tired watching Elmer Fudd and his buddy Moron Cameron make money while his defense bailed their asses out every week. Maybe it was only money, but lateral moves - at best- seldom are.
He is tough to understand. Sadly I think that whole persona worked against him in being considered for the permanent HC position at USC. Sarkisian got the nod....his resume wasn't exactly better. Players love Coach O. He can recruit and he can motivate. I have love for Coach O for some of the great things he did at USC. My one beef with him was hearing him talk about the players as "my sons" and then storming out before the bowl game when he didn't get the job. To his defense, Haden was not direct or truthful with him.
