Benefit of the doubt... I am old but not ancient .. and so I recall thinking (along with a LOT of other Tiger fans..) what is Skip doing hiring this guy .. we just whopped his butte with a coach that is proving to be more interested in what's on the menu rather than what's going on on the field... and that coach turned out pretty good for us... and .. having hired folks in the past ... I know one of the toughest things in the world to do is to judge a person on how that person will react in the situations you have.. so .. if Skip and the search committee have done their homework.... lets give the selected guy the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise... and back our ldskule: Besides.. Nick may have done us a favor today with his QB rotation... and JaMarqus may have grown up a bit .. bodes well for next year :thumb: This from a :tigerhead optimist...
wasn't it you that posted a reply to my post? so is it you not understanding my post? it all started with the my comment about recruits jumping at lsu because of miles, i didn't mean jumping right now, i meant it as after he would be hired as the signing day comes there won't be top recruits coming here for him. back to your quote about no one coming here because of saban himself, i guess you know more about the recruits than the recruits themselves. if you don't understand someone's post them maybe you shouldn't reply to them.

They aren't wanting to play for Nick Saban the name, they are wanting to play for Nick the coach. He got a name because when he sits down with recruits he can convince them they are a perfect fit. If he could recruit on name alone he wouldn't have to meet with kids at all. I guess my comments just went over your head, I have a feeling others here know what I'm talking about.
are you some phyco? not playing for the name but the coach? wtf are you on? look at lsu's recruiting the past few years because of what saban(the coach) has done at lsu. top recruits come to play for him because they believe they will win with him. miles will have to do something to get those recruits to believe they will win with him or he won't have a top 5 recruiting class. i played with 2 all american football players in high school, one went to lsu and the other to nebraska. the one that went to lus was because of tradition, the one that went to big red was to win a national title. the top players in this country for the most part want to go somewhere they think they can play for a national title.
And there are people saying Miles sucks strictly because of his record :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
