And now the Saints have 40 something million in dead money, 25 percent of their player cost is to guys who don't play for them anymore. Next highest is Cleveland with 20 something million.

I respect the hell out of Brees, he shouldn't have taken a paycut, he is the best player this franchise could ever hope for, it's not Brees' salary that is the big waste of money, it's the crap draft picks they made, and when they realized they made crap draft picks they had to try and cover it with free agents and those were crap players too.
Its crap drafts (just 6 players on roster from the 5 drafts immediately after the Super Bowl win) and 40 million in dead money, most in the league by a mile. Thanks to that, we're not going after can't miss free agents, we're getting what we can afford, which means we're getting what we paid for.
Rita and the kids need to submit that to the court, because there's the proof that he's off his rocker. What other NFL owner would allow this and not hold his GM/capologist accountable? MAYBE Daniel Synder, but 40m may be a reach even for him.
