No doubt, he won't be able to get out of bed Sat. morning......seriously, he was POUNDED, AGAIN and AGAIN. I was starting to feel for the guy.

    Croom's gonna get the broom.

I'm just surprised that, when down 38-0, Croom didn't just start feeding LSU with a heavy dose of Anthony Dixon.

That, at least, would have run down the clock. I know he's trying to instill a "never say die" attitude and "play for 60 min"--but you've also got to know when you're not going to win a game.

Had he had Henig hand the ball off more, I think, IMO, it would have been better off for the developement of Henig by not giving him the opportunity to throw additional INT's. Now, after throwing all those picks, he's likely to be a QB mess!

He is a mess, that's why he had all those int's. You can't throw the ball up with so much air, in double coverage, and not expect any team not to have more chance to pic it instead of a completion- much less a defense with our speed.

Maybe he was just off his game but he threw some of them up on a wing and a prayer.

I said this last night in chat but you almost feel sorry for Croom. He's probably a pretty good football guy but he inherited a horrible situation at MooU. That cheating scum bag Sherrill left him with a roster full of no-talent thugs and a non-existent recruiting base. ESPN had the audacity to put his repulsive mug on TV and interview him too! He should have been run out of Starkville on a rail for the damage he caused that program.

If they give Croom enough time, he may get them to respectable status. Not sure he has that much time though because it could take YEARS and YEARS.

cd can be proud of his team's effort, especially in the 1st half.

I think Croom could turn MooU around too, if he had sufficient time. I understand that, in today's college football world, he more than likely won't get that kind of time, which is a shame. I sort of think it's like firiing a doctor who tells you that you have curable cancer instead of letting him treat the disease and, maybe, save your life.

I agree...the defense was pretty impressive. They weren't scared of us at all, and early on, they were really playing with fire.

BUT, if you're gonna come on a rival forum talking smack, you should come around after the smack has been smacked down and eat your crow...while it's still warm.:thumb: Henig's terrible.:nope:

That's the sentiment I have. I generally like Croom and what he's trying to do. He ran off all the thugs and this is 'his' team, but obviously, they still have a ways to go. I think he can be successful if they give him more time, but that's something that SEC football coaches don't have.
