    Classic Comic Book Ads

    Always wanted the pet monkey.

Glad now I never got one.

The X-ray glasses held an interest too.

What did you remember and/or covet on this list?

I once had an inflatable doll. She had a jealous inflatable ex boyfriend who kept stalking us.

Other than the X Ray glasses the comic book ad product I wanted most was one not shown on that site. It was a little machine gun that was supposed to shoot BBs rapid fire when you cranked the handle.

I didn't read very many comic books (I had about 30 or so growing up). But I vividly remember this ad:

I can't believe none of you mentioned this one.

That site is missing the greatest one of all time. Charles Atlas and little Mac getting sand kicked in his face!

I once ordered a one man submarine for about 20 bucks. The ad should a kid in a sub traveling in the water. A cardboard model of a sub came in the mail. I was so disappointed.
