There was a comma after that, and it was followed with "he is satisfied that he is not".(involved) No spin zone, man!:dis:
The exact quote is in post 113, and it clearly indicated that CLM didn't think he is in any way involved. He (CLM) was saying it in a tone that indicates that he (Perriloux) is not involved, not in one that indicates he is. I realize what he (CajunSensation) said is accurate, but it was HALF of the quote, and that's misleading. The story is from yesterday, and I read it then, but the way he posted it, I thought it was something new because it said nothing about what CLM said after the comma. It was a teaser quote, intended to get everyone's attention.:dis:
Even though Miles said "involved in any way", I think it really depends on how it breaks down. If Perriloux is never taken to trial or anything, then I think his status on the team will be okay.
So if we find out that RP is involved we know that CLM is more than likely going to kick him off the team. The fact that he thinks RP has nothing to do with this is another issue all together. I get where you are coming from, but I don't think he was trying to spin it.
I'm not as trusting as you are! As far as CLM kicking him off the team IF he's involved, I would certainly hope he did. Your prior post hit the nail on the head, even though I think you said it somewhat jokingly. That kind of thing is why people either love FSU/Miami, or absolutely hate them, as I do.:thumb:
No, man. It wasn't a teaser quote....the comma afterward said something to the effect of " said so-and-so." I put the links up for ya'll to see. I ain't trying to sell magazines....it wasn't a teaser quote. I could care less if it "gets everyone's attention" or not. Just trying to contribute to the thread, bro.
OK, here's the exact quote from the article. "(Miles) said that if (Perrilloux) had been implicated in any way, he'd be gone, but that he was satisfied (Perrilloux) was not," Dauterive said. It's not that important, but there it is in black and white.(purple and white)
