Agreed. He had more money than he could spend before this all went down and if he does have cancer added to his age, there is little point. The Clippers WERE his personal and ego swag. It's what defined him and they were his calling card. I suppose it could be a backdoor money motivation in terms of saying, "If you are going to take my team, I will make you pay". But that's not the same thing as him trying to drive the value up for profit.
