This has been an issue for a long time. Glad to see it's being recognized and addressed. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/6790922-123/tigers-eye-4-minute-offense-for
I'll settle for ANY offense. The offensive production for LSU has been disgusting and absolutely unacceptable. I hope Cameron is the answer. I have a few insiders that have given me reason to be optimistic this year over years past.
I've been told that Les is much less present and involved during offensive practice and that Cameron seems to have more total control than usual. Let's pray this is true and that Les has finally let go of the reigns. This should have been done a while ago. Hopefully what I'm hearing is correct.
That has been my contention all along. We have changed OC's with the direction that the wind is blowing and it all has looked the same. I'll hold out hope but that is all I can say for now. Show me.
But...but...Tim Brown's running around swearing Les has Cam locked in a closet somewhere and is running everything.
Watching the LSU offense over the past few years has taken a lot of the fun I had watching LSU away. It's been horrible. At this point I really have to push aside any optimism about LSU because I have no faith whatsoever that Les won't get in the way of what could and should be very productive offenses. I think the "It's been really quiet" thread is a perfect example of what such piss-poor offensive coaching has done to the LSU fan base. Yes we're spoiled by success by some degree. But LSU isn't the same program it was 20 years ago. And expecting the offense to not be almost dead last in multiple categories isn't asking too much.
