1. Everyone in the media is going to say a closed practice is bad.
  2. I'm thinking it will turn out mo' better on offense than last year's debacle vs Wisconsin so I'm thinking closed practice is ok. O managing the message and sending a message... it's all about the O
  3. O made an incredibly big deal about opening practices as soon as Miles was fired last year. He criticized them being closed. Now, he is the head man, and he decided to close practice, only to change his mind after the media bitched?

I'm sorry, but I'm still uneasy about the O hire.

  4. Seems a little odd, but not sure what to make of it. Might have his reasons. Start winning and no one will remember or hold it against him. I'm troubled by how many players are leaving the team. Too much head butting going on?
  5. Open practice to the media will be on our coaching search list next time. Hope our AD takes notes.
  6. Just win football games and all is forgiven.

  7. Of course they will. It doesn't make their job easier.
  8. August is an official dead period. It can be risky to open the field to fans/boosters who could inadvertently talk to a recruit, etc. Every school has to decide what works for them. Having closed practices leading up to the season is no big deal. I anticipate that Oeaux will open them up for Spring ball.

  9. You know who is upset with the media not getting access?

    The media.

O was more forthcoming in his press conferences than most coaches who even grant access ever are..

  10. Will you still get daily practice reports from LSU's official voice?
