One of only two players to win a title in football and baseball and those weren't even his biggest feats. I know many who suffer a horrible injury claim they'll "walk"...or "run"...or "play again"...etc. just to remain positive or stay mentally tough. Unfortunately many never fully realize their goal. I wouldn't doubt Jones though. He's already accomplished so much and has the determination to succeed. He obviously has the means to hire the best specialists and it seems to be working. Even if he never plays in the NFL or MLB, he has already won. :thumb:

If he ever plays a down of football again, I will be crying like a baby watching him. I'm awaiting the Chad Jones movie...
I would not count him out yet although he may never be the safety he could have been it would not surprise me to see him in a Giants uniform in the future playing in some fashion. He had a compound fracture of his tib/fib and lost 2 of his 3 arterial supplies to his foot. The one he has left is not in great shape. This is why his heel ulcer wouldn't heal. Walking normally in the future is going to be a constant challenge. Playing sports is really out of the question. He realizes this which is why he is going through some depression. I wish the best for him but he needs to focus on other avenues of life rather than sports and hope his last artery remains patent.
