first off either you're a miami fan or an LSU fan, if you have that avatar quit acting like LSU faithful. Get a team, so people wont ignore you, like I did. I have no idea what you said in your post

When we hired Miles, most hot candidates were taken. I didn’t have a problem with his hire, especially considering his record at Oklahoma State. I haven’t made a final decision on Miles, but I will say that I am unsatisfied with our offense. I think USC would do more with our talent and I think we would do less with USC’s talent. Of course, I was unhappy with our offense during most of Saban’s tenure as well. Could it be Jimbo? He is the constant.

I don’t know if I would go so far as to say Pellini has surpassed Saban, but Pellini is doing an above average job. He does have excellent talent to work with, so my enthusiasm is tempered. I do remember hearing quite a bit of hoopla about this season, how it was supposed to be *THE* year; we had an inexperienced offense last year which was supposed to have grown up this year. If I remember correctly, a lot of the players we lost last year were on defense, and defense hasn’t been that much of a problem after the first couple of games.

I have no doubt that our offense lost the Tennessee game for us and has kept our solid opponent’s in just about every game. Hell, we couldn’t put away Appalachian State. Saying that the reason we lost to Tennessee is because we were wildly slinging the ball makes me laugh, we were as conservative as ever in that game. And during the second half Tennessee was cutting like a hot knife through our butter, I mean defense.

In a way, I can understand our conservativism early, keeping inexperience under check. But even if we can’t run wide open, I think it’s past time to open it more. The risk of making a mistake is worth the reward of what will come when our offense starts humming; that is my opinion because I have faith in our offense. I don’t mean to throw caution to the wind, but if we are going to go for it on fourth in a situation where logic would say punt, why can’t we allow our offense to blossom into the power it could be?

    On to other subjects...

It makes me laugh how LSU fans want to say without a doubt we are the best 1 loss team in the nation. If you could take a step back, nothing differentiates us from teams like Penn St, Miami Florida, or Virginia Tech, except that they have posted a dominant win over a solid opponent when we haven’t. Looking over teams to complain about playing West Virginia in the Sugar Bowl is also amusing to me. We aren’t so good that Ole Miss, Arkansas, and especially Georgia don’t pose a threat.

As an LSU fan, I do believe we are a reach away from greatness and could be one of the greatest teams in college football if we could make that final stretch. Hell, I do think we are one of the greatest programs in college football at this point. I love our team, I just want to see us become the team we can be. We have it in us to be a juggernaut; we were one in 2003. I would have loved a shot at USC, we could have opened a lot of the media’s eyes and eroded their fixation with the pretty boys. We could hang with USC this year and possibly win, but we could at the same time be embarrassed. We are better than the team that lost to Texas in 2002, but not quite the team that won the state of Louisiana a National Championship.

I am happy to say that most of the posters here bring something to the table and make good points. It keeps me coming back and gives me a subtly deep pleasure to partake in discussions with y’all.

    :eek:lefire:, geaux to hell.

It may not keep Miles awake, but you don't look like you've been sleeping well lately. Tell mommy not to turn out the lights when you go bed, that might help. And get her to show you there are no monsters hiding in your closet.

Why do we all hate each other? Because our team is 8-1 and we don't all agree on why?

Chill out, enjoy the ride and :geauxtige

the problem with Miles is a complete lack of discipline. The pre-snap penalties, are just killers. Holding penalties away from the play would not have been tolerated by Saban. Poor game management and turnovers are looking more like something from the Curley Hallman years than a conference champ. And besides, the only reason Miles is winning so much, is because of the athletes Saban recruited. Just remember this, Mike Archer went 10-2 with Stovall's seniors. Man what a great coach he turned out to be when his own players had to take the field.

How about an original thought for your first post?:dis:

By the way, Archer followed Arnsparger.

Now, go out the door you came in. We have enough whining crybabies around here already.
