The georgia game was different, we did not give up a 21 point lead. When we were up big, saban's defenses were relentless, miles and co play prevent. big difference.
You sound like ex-FEMA director Michael Brown, just blame it on the local and state officials to get your butt off the hook. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that 91,000+ fans took the time to show up and support the team. You don't think a lot of people have tons of bad chit going on in their lives other than football? Listen, if you can't handle high expectations, be a Vandy fan. Miles spoke about the high expectations and that means wins. Miles knew what he was getting into so don't feel so bad for him. Fan support is probably not even in Miles' top 10 reasons for this loss.
Fan support, though, is the one area the PARTICIPANTS OF THIS FORUM CAN HELP IMPROVE FIRST HAND. I lost everything except my truck, computer, records and three shirts in New Orleans. I spent money to get to baton rouge and enjoy an LSU game. I didn't realise that these days its faux pas to stand, cheer, or be boisterous at LSU games.
SEN, I am truly sorry for your losses man. It sounds like you have had a traumatic experience and that maybe going to the LSU game didn't help. I don't want to be too hard on the fans considering the circumstances and that everyone is still trying to find a sense of normalcy. I still think a lot of people were stunned that we blew such a huge lead by the 4th quarter. I probably would of had a brook trout look on my face too. :hihi: :hihi:
SEN, we're going to have to agree to disagree about the fan support. The fans supported this team for as long as they could until we had to watch this team, under the control of Coach Miles, give this game away. However, I do agree that people are shortsited & easily forget all of the criticisms they had of Saban. Miles' performance scares me, and I am not confident in this team right now, but I still have optimism that Miles can get things turned around & keep LSU in the national scene.
He did make a mistake but it wouldn't have mattered because the field goal team was running on the field.
