my first thot was, i hope they dont put leak as #1 but im sure they will...voila they just love him. heres one for you...if mustain starts, hell have a better QB rating. leak was pretty pathetic at times last year, specifically against us like 120 yds passsing. he had occasional bursts like the cap one bowl but other than that, i was far from impressed
leak will get hurt eventually this year....mark my word...i was surprised he wasnt last year especially all the hits we put on him....that offense will simply not work in this league...i dont care how much urban tweaks it....
I don't know about Leak getting hurt, he takes dives when he gets cornered, so it would have to be on a blinside hit.
3pts for 1st team, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd Auburn: 11111112223333 = 3x7 + 2x3 + 1x4 = 31 Georgia: 111112233333 = 3x5 + 2x2 + 1x5 = 24 LSU: 112222222233 = 3x2 + 2x8 + 1x2 = 24 Florida: 1112222233 = 3x3 + 2x5 + 1x2 = 21 Arkansas: 111223333333 = 3x3 + 2x2 + 1x7 = 20 Tennessee: 11223 = 3x2 + 2x2 + 1x1 = 11 Bama: 122333 = 3x1 + 2x2 + 1x3 = 10 Kentucky: 2223333 = 2x3 + 1x4 = 10 Vandy: 123 = 3x1 + 2x1 + 1x1 = 6 Miss St: 222 = 2x3 = 6 S Carolina: 12 = 3x1 + 2x1 = 5 Ole Missy: 13 = 3x1 + 1x3 = 4 As far as Leak being overrated, in that system he most definitely is. He damn sure ain't the qb of the future for the Gators.
I think Highsmith should be a first teamer, but I don't know enough about the first team linebackers to say he is better. Seems like Craig Davis should have made it. It is interesting to me how Arnold is first team and an All American. He started as a freshman or redshirt. Then he got injured, but I think he had trouble getting back in the starting line up even after he was healthy either last year or the year before if I remember correctly.
Davis would be on there if the injured Prothro would not be 3rd team. It is ridiculous to place Prothro, who in all likelihod will apply for a medical redshirt, on the all-SEC team. So that makes two insane votes with Leak on 1st team and Prothro on 3rd.
I think Leak is a good qb, just not a good option qb. Maybe this season he will change to fit the system or the system will adapt to him.
I think you have to go either JR or Cox. Both have come a long way. And as lsu-i-like indicated, Leak is an extremely talented qb, I just fail to see him succedding in the urban assault. He will take plenty enough flak for sliding, and when he decides to put his head down for those few extra yards, he will get hammered. The guy is all finesse, and not exactly built like an option qb.
