1. The two teams that you are referring to as being poor just happened to be 2 and 1 a piece. Maybe it's our defense that's making you believe V Tech isn't quite the same team that they are used to being?
  2. Understand, I'm not trying to single you out. You just happened to be the first USCE fan to be posting here a lot.

Off and on these past few months, this game has been talked about quite a few times. It's good to see you venture in this territory.

One constant that has come up is inconsistency. By what you've just said, it's almost the true definition of the word, isn't it?

Not taking away from your Georgia win, but I'm curious which teams you are talking about when you say "playing up to the competition." I don't think that could be said of the UT win a few years ago. They had major problems within that program at the time. UF? Is that the game? I'll agree, SOS had a lot riding on that game, emotion wise. Clemson?
  3. The playing up and down to the caliber of our opponent is history at Carolina even prior to SOS coming in. One week we would beat Souther Cal and in the same season lose to Pacific or the Citadel etc. Just a reflection on our past up and down teams, that struggle one week and look like world beaters the next.
  4. I gotta jump in here...no Carolina fans are trying to say that we'll go into BR and whip up on you guys...some of yall seem offended when we say the game will be competitive, which it will be. LSU is one of the best teams in the country, Carolina isnt, but that doesnt mean LSU will win or Carolina will lose...it does mean that Carolina has to play the game of their lives and hope for some breaks to come out on top, but dont believe for a second that cant happen, especially with the way other games have gone this season. I'm looking forward to an awesome game and some more convo with you guys here.

  5. ConwayCock, didn't you guys struggle with ULL, not La. Tech? I may be wrong; I'm just wondering.

Yes, SC is inconsistent. Yes, Steve Spurrier is your coach, but good coaches have gone there to have their careers die before (see Holtz.)

McLovin, I don't think LSU fans are offended by the suggestion of a close/competitive game, but we have enormous faith in our team this year. We truly believe we are capable of beating you guys down. In face, most of us probably believe that yet another starting QB will be sitting on the bench at some point during the game. It's happened each week so far.

Congrats on the win over UGA. Stafford is sure to be good at some point (I've seen him play since high school in Dallas), but I don't think he's there yet. It was a great win for SC.

We're looking forward to an exciting game in Tiger Stadium, but we most definitely expect a win--a good one.
  6. SC would have to get a +7 turnover margin to come close. SC can not score.

A +7 ain't going to happen. LSU fans aren't offended when SC fans say this will be competitive. I do believe most SC fans get offended when LSU fans say "no way is this game going to be close". If you are within 21 by the end of the game I will be surprised.:geauxtige
  7. Who can tell me who was the coach Holtz replaced, they have all died at SC.
  8. -7 might happen. They are averaging 4 a game.
  9. :hihi: :geauxtige

  10. Holtz replaced Brad Scott, Brad left and became the offensive coordinator at Clemson.

I think you will see that the Gamecock nation is getting excited. SOS has started bringing in good talent and we are starting to get some speed and depth.

Are we as deep as LSU? NOPE

We finally have SOME talent and SOME depth and a GREAT coach. Somthing that the cocks are not used to having. Thus WE are optimistic that as long as SOS is on the side lines we have a chance.

Does not mean we will win; but we are certainly a more competitive team than we have ever been.
