tirk is correct. pepsi does alot better up north. it seems like if the national market was like baton rouge, pepsi would be out of business quickly.
Try going to the North and finding a Coke anywhere. Its a tough, tough thing. That's why when you go to Wrigley to catch a game, you get a Vienna beef hot dog and an Old Style. So you don't have to drink a Pepsi!!!
That's right. My husband is a Chicago native and when we visited his relatives up there last summer, I had to go and buy myself some Diet Coke. My husband, though he grew up in Dallas, is a Pepsi fan, as well. Yuck...
Well all of this is news to me....had no idea that Coke vs. Pepsi was so regional. I guess it's just like you got great food (down south) and u got your crappy food (up north).
The exception to crappy northern food would have to be Chicago pizza. Giordano's in downtown Chicago is incredible! Plus, everyone up there was very nice--almost like being in the South.
Since I prefer a thin crust, I find that Chicago style pizza is too doughy. I like the New York style pizza better.
