At least not as of yet... Let's see.... Top 10: 1. USC 2. Texas 3. LSU! 4. Virginia Tech 5. Tennessee 6. Florida 7. Georgia 8. Florida State 9. Ohio State 10. Notre Dame 4:2 in favor of the SEC.... In terms of the rest of the rankings: 13. Miami 0-1 754 16. Georgia Tech 2-0 575 17. Boston College 2-0 483 20. Clemson 2-0 316 25. Virginia 1-0 205 Alabama 137, Auburn 87, N.C. State 7 Vanderbilt 1. The ACC has 7 teams in the top 30 and the SEC has 7 teams in the top 30. Basically, it's a "push" although I can see all 7 of the ACC schools being bowl eligible....I can't see Vandy (the 7th SEC school in the top 30) doing that. So, I guess at season's end, the ACC should have 1 more bowl team than the SEC.....
Skip also said that Saban's methods would not work in the NFL, because the players would not play for him.
that takes time (whether players "play for him" or not).... it comes with each player getting to know him and then from what they know, developing their own opinions of him.
I understand his opinion that players wouldnt play for him. We always talk about the lack of respect there is for coaches nowadays. You can imagine that in the NFL, where it is a business played by grown men, they may not have to much respect for a coach.
The best on Around the Horn is Michael Smith the best host was Kellerman and Wilbon is the man on PTI
Skip Bayless was also one of the few people who said LSU was better than usc 2 years ago. So dont go crazy over this dude. I heard him on Jim Rome saying LSU was a better team and giving reasons for it.:geauxtige
