In the Baseball America Poll, LSU dropped out of the top 25. However, the SEC does have a nice showing in the poll including the #2 and #3 ranked teams. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/college/top25/26911.html In the Collegiate Baseball Poll, LSU dropped to #29 from #15 last week. http://www.collegiatebaseball.com/polls/divI/currentpolldivI.htm
As I left the park yesterday, I said to myself that the Tigers shouldn't be in the top 25, so these polls are accurate to me at this time. The pitching yesterday was great. Bad luck gave SC the win. We were a wild pitch, or passed ball from going down 2-1 while giving up only 1 hit! We get the leadoff man on, then the next batter can't get the sac bunt down and ends up striking out leaving the leadoff man at 1st. Next batter gets a single that probably would have scored the leadoff man, but he can't score from first on a single. SC, on the other hand, scores on a walk, an error putting men on first and third, and a ground out to first scoring the runner on 3rd...1 run on NO hits! I got to sit in the grandstand because of the bandwagon fans that don't show up anymore. thanks!
I once posted Smoke would turn LSU into ULM. I am afraid that day is upon the tigers. I think I got about 3 red dots for that post. Dang!
