Think I'm siding with Red on this one. 1. Muddy field. 2. Season Opener. 3. QB Crisis. 4. Good opponent. All those factors came together at once. Made for a tough night. I bet alot we'll look like the old tigers again vs. Arkansas St and Auburn.
Ramah, I hope your right but I'm more worried about the Auburn game than the one this week. Also I know it was our first game of the year but we should be able to play football in all weather not just when its dry. OSU certainly outplayed us on a wet field, I'm praying that most of the problems were just a combination of rust and a wet field. God knows, we don't need a wet field for the next 2 games, I'm praying about that! btw I would be happy as hell to see Marcus have a great game but if it don't happen maybe its time for someone else to try.
dude do you ever call anything right i told you to watch tapes 2 month ago and take off the purple shades and you would maybe see russel is hte qb hands down all the off the wall calls you make are for some of these parrottheads like sabanfan ramah for once call something right
You're acting like JR went out there and set the world on fire. He was a little more effective but that's not saying much. The way I see it, after 1 game, is that they are basically equal but JR has a huge upside. MR is what he is. By the way, didn't we run you off?
did anyone else feel like we were never going to lose. Even though we played like crap i always knew we would win. It was like i was just waiting for the big play to happen and it finally did.
Well, I never give up on LSU at all BUT....... When LSU failed to convert on that fourth and goal from the 2 yard line, the life and wind went out of me. I figured OSU would be able to easily get a first down or two to kill the clock. Whew! I was wrong!
Wow, not a single syllable that I disagree with here. In fact, he could add the following: -The front four of LSU's defense took a while to get started, not getting noticeable penetration until the 2nd quarter at the earliest. What was shocking was that Will Muschamp and Nick Saban did so little to help by not blitzing much at all in the 1st, allowing an experienced and deadly QB in Anderson to pick the hell out of the defense, owning those little 5-10 out routes in the flats play after play after play... Every, every, every single time Anderson felt even a little pressure, his passes were off. Every time. -Justin Vincent was disasterous. Quick and nimble he may be but, man, he simply could not break a tackle in this game. -Skylar Green was clearly not himself in the return game. I'd say they kept him back there because they knew he was the most sure handed returner on the roster but that opening kickoff kind of flies in the face of that logic, eh? -The tackling in the first half was, for lack of a better term, Saints-like. Look, Oregon State is a nice team and will be more competitive than some thought they'd be this season, but there was little doubt that the most talented team on the field that night was LSU. PS-Auburn would have won by three scores if they'd been the opponent the other night, by the way. Just a humble fan's opinion...
