1. LOL, I got red for this post. The comment uses my sig., and says "I thought sugarcoating was against your religion, WTF?"

Sorry to whomever I've offended by posting statistical data. I had no clue that was a form of sugarcoating.

I really have no problem with people disagreeing with my opinions of JR. Hell I expect it, but this is kinda funny.

  2. What possible reason would this guy have an agenda against JR?
    • Race? That can't be it, because Jason Cambell and Shockley are on the good side of the arguement.
    • Anti-LSU? Nope, He mentions Mauck.
    • Anti-Jimbo? Can't be that, because Jimbo was Mauck's OC as well.
    • Anti-Miles? Maybe, but he has a weird way of showing it, because he never mentions coaching in the entire article.
Just about all Tiger fans look at this issued from a biased point of view. They either hate JR, and want Flynn to start, or they love JR, and won't let anyone critique him. This guy coming from the outside probably doesn't have this biased point of view. So I take it for what it is. An outsiders opinion on our QB.
The fact of the matter is that because of our complete lack of a running game, this team desperately needs him to put up those gaudy stats in our "elite" games. If he doesn't, he may go down as the best QB in LSU history not to win an SEC championship.
  3. If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

I decided to figure out what Tennessee's record would have been last year taking away all six of their losses. A sparkling 5-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:
  4. I have no idea what the agenda may be, but just from reading it, i thought it was obvious. I support JR but i am not oblivious to what other people think of him. In the article, he doesn't say anything positive about JR and basically is saying that he's been holding the LSU program back. And i highly doubt that he has seen JR play more than any of us LSU fans, because if he did he wouldn't be writing this. I know that JR hasn't played a stand out game against good competition this year, but i don't think it merits a whole article to bash him on it.
  5. man, you should have signed that, " JR's Mom"

    :hihi:
  6. I agree with Nutriach that there is no reasonable reason to think that the writer had an agenda against JR. As LVTGFN points out, a sportswriter is only going to quote things that support their points. I sort of saw the writer working from an assumption that JR is a very good quarterback. But he certainly did not offer any support to that premise.
  7. I hope we can win out and qualify for a Bowl vs a higher ranked opponent. A win in such a Bowl would erase a lot of the doubts by fans and media.
  8. id like that, too. aint gonna happen though. win out and if things fall right play WV. win out and dont fall right, play Wisc/GT. lose one or two and play VT, Iowa, FSU. elite programs usually end up in no-win bowl games after 2-3 losses.
  9. So, then why does Landry get a free pass for the Florida game. I see you've made many points about JR, like the fact that he took a sack against Auburn that cost us :25 seconds, and how that shows he just doesn't have the smarts, blah blah blah.

You realize that Landry made TWO boneheaded plays against Florida that cost us 14 points. He didn't wrap up the guy on the 3rd and 15, giving up a 1st down late in the 1st half. UF went on to score. Landry also got completely faked out on the Tebow long TD pass. Landry bit on the fake, leaving his man wide open for the 30 or so yard TD pass.

Landry was EASILY more to blame for the Florida loss than JR, but I've yet to see one person mention that.
  10. Thanks to the offense, when the defense is on the field all day, you tend to tire out... everyone made mistakes...
