Color me impressed with how Miles handled the schedule question today...

    May I call you bob?

Motivation is everyday at Bama and their pursuit for excellence. Leadership and momentum gained will probably determine success more fully than your definition of the law of averages running out. It's true that repeating is almost impossible and the three peat is unheard of. But here we are and like they say, if BAMA can't do it, no one can. This will be a much more experienced defense and when Saban gets juniors and seniors to run his brand of sophisticated schemes, the sky is the limit. The best receiver group in the conference and nation and you know about our running game. Look for OJ Howard to show out at the H/TE position. I see Bama running some I formation as well.

Not too worried about missed calls and such. Just nothing you can hope to do about it. Les took too many chances in our game. Wasn't necessary and it cost LSU valuable points. No one can predict these games between the Tide and Tigers. I'm positive the next one will have nothing to do with the last one.

Terry - Yes you are right. He hit it out of the park The scheduling issue is still alive and even some Alabama writers agree

Jeff McKneely comment - What has stirred this isn't the historical permanent opponents or the previously established rotation. It is the fact that Alabama was "scheduled" to play UGA in 2012 and 2013. When A&M and Missouri were added to the SEC, some how UGA was removed from Bama's schedule for both years and was replaced with Missouri in 2012 and Kentucky in 2013. However, LSU schedule was changed to include USC in 2012 and UGA in 2013. Now I'm sure the fact that the SEC official in charge of making the bridge schedule is an Alabama alum had nothing to do with it.

I just refreshed my memory concerning the Gumps schedule...what an absolute joke.

Arky, OM, Vols and LSU all home games. But then again they do have that challenging road game up in Lexington.

Tusk? Can we get some of your usual "bullshit nonsense" in response to McNeely's comments?

I would never use scheduling as an excuse. Play anybody, any where, any time, and beat their ass period. If you lose, they were a better team at that time. If you win, you're one step closer as a team toward your ultimate goal. Doesn't matter who you play, it matters how you play and the outcome when the clock hits zero.

This is completely out of touch with reality. Running the table in college football is hard. It is even harder when you have 4 top 10 teams on your schedule. When you compound that with the fact that the team you are battling for the divisional championship only plays 2 top 10 teams they have a built in advantage, and it is one that was built in by the SEC.

Its not about running the table. Its about facing the opponent in front of you no matter who it is and performing the best you can. After that the chips fall where they may. However don't lose and use scheduling as an excuse. Or use scheduling as a crutch for underperforming in a season. The only excuse is that one team was better than the other.

Back in 06 Les wouldnt complain about scheduling. Don't know why he would have changed his outlook.
